“Shadow Self” Installation - July 17th, 2026
This past Saturday at my studio in the Bendix Building, I premiered my first installation of the “Shadow Self” series. I photographed this body of work throughout 2025 and this installation is a culmination of how it was meant to be experienced. The images, printed on diaphanous fabric, create an ethereal world that is constantly in motion. There is something fleeting about these pieces, just like the unconcious thoughts and shadow parts of ourselves, they are hard to grasp hold of.
One of the most meaningful parts of being an artist is getting to share the work and connect with others through it. So much of the creative process happens in solitude, which makes evenings like this especially meaningful to me. Thank you so much to everyone who came out and experienced the work. I am beyond grateful for your support!
The installation can be experienced next month, August 15th from 5-7pm, at the Long Beach City College Art Gallery, where it will be part of a group exhibition called “Flesh, Memory, Becoming”.
